Rugby U12B vs Framlingham College Prep

A well-motivated Holmwood took to the field with a great enthusiasm to continue our unbeaten record. The team showed good effort and determination, but a lack of communication in our defensive structures resulted in a stagnant first half which ended at 0-0. We started the second half with a greater will to cross the tryline, better defence and brilliant communication and, despite going 1-0 down early on, managed to fight back to bring the score to 2-2 with five minutes to go. After an opposition kickoff, our captain Matthew J made an excellent catch and pass to set Takura M-D off on a dazzling fifty metre run. After some nifty footwork and evasive running, he made a last minute offload to Noah T on the wing, who pinned his ears back and headed straight towards a brilliant try in the corner.

We had three minutes left to defend our lead, but some good running on the wing by the opposition resulted in a last minute try in the corner and the game ended as a 3-3 draw, however the team’s courage and valiant defending managed to uphold their unbeaten record. A marvellous effort from the boys.

Man of the Match: jointly George S and  Takura M-D
