Girls' Hockey U11C vs Finborough

This was such a positive start to the new half term from all the girls. Despite the long break, the girls utilised many of the skills we had been focusing on at the start of the term.

Their passing remained accurate throughout the match and they held their positions well which opened up the pitch nicely.

Three goals in quick succession in the first 10 minutes from Sophie D resulted in a re-jig of positions resulting in many of the girls having to adjust to positions they are not so confident playing. However, they all adapted well and continued to dominate the match.

Georgia P had a superb match in goal, despite it being only her second time playing goalie. She read the ball well throughout and cleared it strongly out of the 'D'. She was well supported by her defence making it impossible for Finborough to score.

In the second half two goals were quickly added to our scoreline by Holly C, so it was back to the drawing board and yet another change to positions. Anna B then stepped up as Centre Half and passed the ball expertly to the wings for the remainder of the match and we continued with some very strong runs on the goal, culminating in a final goal.

Final score 6 - 0
