Girls' Hockey - U11A vs Felsted

Away - drew 2-2
The girls started slowly in this match with some very flat play in the first half which allowed Felsted to go 1-0. However it's as if a completely different team came out to play in the second half with sharp, slick passing and the girls where really on their toes which saw them win the second half 2-1 so a final score of 2-2. Hopefully the girls will see the difference it makes when they bring their 'A' game. Well done girls

Girls' Hockey - U11B vs Felsted

The girls demonstrated incredible teamwork from start to finish in this match. As a result this allowed them to easily move the ball down the pitch, using the whole width. This opened the game out and resulted in many shots on goal. In the first half the ball found the goal twice, firstly from Pearl P and then Alexandra B-C. Our two defenders, Holly C and Anna B, were on fine form and put in many strong, accurate tackles to prevent the opposition from getting into the 'D'. They both linked well with Sophie D as CH to work the ball into our half.

At half time the girls had their own ideas as to how they could continue to improve in the second half, but we also had a rather disgruntled goalie, Georgia P, who had yet to touch the ball!

In the second half we again came out strongly. Davina M had a great game as CH but also put pressure on Felsted's goalie finally resulting in our third goal. Sarah E and Anna in defence made life very difficult for our opposition, and both girls grew in confidence as the match progressed and pushed up to support the forwards. Anna was delighted to score our fourth goal.

A brilliant team performance from all the girls. Well done!

Final score 4 - 0

The Holmwood U11 C team really stood out this week and played one of their best matches this term. Anna P scored two brilliant goals in the first and third quarter, and was always in control of the ball with great skill and determination. Georgie C and Hannah L also managed to score a goal each. The girls played with outstanding teamwork and made some fantastic passes. Well done!
