Soccer U11 A vs Colchester High School

Final score Won 1-0

Holmwood's first match of the term was against a well organised Colchester High School.  Holmwood started well and looked good in possession.  Henry D was pulling the strings in centre midfield and Sam F and William T looked in control in defence.  Holmwood created several chances but could not beat the Colchester High keeper.  Half time score 0-0.

The second half again saw Holmwood create the better opportunities and dominate possession.  Colchester High looked dangerous on the break but Patrick A in goal was not really tested all afternoon.  The only goal of the game came from a cross from the right which the Colchester High goalkeeper dropped and Henry D followed and tapped in from close range.

Harry O was causing Colchester High problems in the final third and was well supported by Rufus C and Edward S in the wide positions.

A solid start to the term with lots of positives. Well done.

Final score Won 4-0

Holmwood started the term with a very strong performance against Colchester High School. Holmwood soon took the lead and played some excellent football at times.  The boys switched positions as the game went on to allow everyone to experience playing in a different area of the pitch.

Holmwood dominated the game and eventually won 4-0 with goals from James P (x2), Oscar S and Jude S. A great start to the term, well done all involved.
