Girls' Hockey - U11 A VII Triangular vs Ipswich Prep School

The girls played in the Ipswich Prep triangular along with Framingham. Our first game was up against Ipswich. Our defence held strong in the first half with the girls managing to move the ball between each other quickly to turn defence into attack.

A couple of good chances through the game were well saved from the Ipswich goalkeeper and the match ended in a 1-0 defeat. Our second and final game was against Fram Prep. The girls past the ball accurately between each other to create good attacking chances and worked back well as a team to defend. An excellently taken short corner from Poppy DR won us the game 1-0.

Girls' Hockey - U11 C VII Triangular vs Ipswich Prep School

After a very delayed and eventful arrival meant there was little time for the girls to prepare and warm up for the first match against Ipswich Prep.  However, the girls quickly settled and everyone played well to move the ball competently down the pitch.  Despite a strong opposition, the defence worked hard to keep the ball away from the goal and the forwards passed the ball around accurately to try and get us into a shooting position.  It was a fair result when the match ended goalless.

The second match against Framlingham Prep was much tougher.  The opposition were clearly an established team and we struggled to win possession, although we never gave up.  In the first half we kept all but one of the opposition's shots out of the goal, but in the second half tiredness became a feature as we had to play both of our matched back-to-back.  Final score 3 - 0 to Framlingham.
