Girls' Hockey - U9 A VII vs South Lee

It was a lovely sunny (but cold) afternoon for our first U9 hockey match. All the girls played one half of a game today against South Lee, and had lots of fun both on the pitch and supporting from the side with their parents. Sienna and Issy padded up as Goalkeepers and did an excellent job communicating with their defence, clearing balls, and looking fierce. The girls have been learning
about the different positions in a team: where they need to be, what they need to do, and who they need to work with. They made an excellent start today and we will work on this next week. Poppy made an impact with her strong defending and Sophie worked extremely hard on the right wing, scoring a super goal. Phoebe and Mrs Spencer were very proud of all the girls today.

Final score: Holmwood House 1, South Lee 2
