Netball - U13 1st VII vs Orwell Park

The team were raring to put into practice the blocking skills and other drills we had been working on. Every member of the team contested the match with grit and determination, but we struggled against a side who had a significant height advantage and the score gap soon begun to widen. Nevertheless, the girls did not let their heads drop and were commended by the opposition coach for how well they had played; the final score not reflecting the way they had performed. Captain Maisy H. was an inspiration with her amazing dodging skills, even when double marked by players who seemed to be twice her height!

Well done!

Netball - U13 2nd VII vs Orwell Park

Despite the lost, the girls gave it their all. They never gave up, they were still smiling at the end and we tried fun and new positions out. We lost two girls in the middle of the game due to injuries, however the girls didn't give up and were forced to play positions that they haven’t played before. Hebe W received player of the match which was very well deserved as she played extremely well. Ilayda H played fabulously in WD and allowed us to get the ball back again. Well done girls! Keep up the good work.

Final Score: Holmwood House 2 Orwell Park 21

Netball - U13 3rd VII vs Orwell Park

Our Holmwood girls, captained by Arabella, remained positive throughout a tough game against Orwell Park today. Our girls gave their best performance in the third quarter, winning that 3-1. Lucy B scored 4 of our goals, and Hannah 1.

The girls were determined to think of ways to effectively lose their defenders and keep possession. Holly C made some excellent tactical suggestions which the girls followed through. Mrs S was very proud of the team.

Final score: Holmwood House 5, Orwell Park 15
