This week has been a busy one for the boarders!
On Monday the Year 5s made gluten free cupcakes, learning about gluten free diets. They very much enjoyed baking, decorating and of course eating their cakes!
On Wednesday the Year 8s were treated to to a wonderful evening of Scottish food, poetry and dancing in the annual Burns' Supper. Staff were resplendent in their matching 'Holmwood' tartan kilts and, as usual, Tina and her catering staff produced a fabulous meal, with haggis traditionally piped in, The courses were interspersed with Burns' poetry, recited with gusto and humour and the evening rounded off with traditional Scottish dancing.
On Thursday the Year 8s made their own pizza's for supper which looked, smelt and tasted delicious.
Boarding staff are looking forward to a restful weekend!
