Global Schools Project

Miss Comer and Mrs Mitchell are visiting Holmwood’s Global Schools Project link school The Camford International School, Coimbatore in the Tamil Nadu province of southern India during the Easter holiday.

The Camford International is a progressive, co-educational, independent day and boarding school for children of ages 2-18 and has, as one of its objectives, “to transcend political boundaries and develop conscientious world leaders”. This is very much in accordance with recent Holmwood projects and we hope to gain much from sharing our ideas regarding what an education of this nature should look like and involve. The Global Schools Project is a scheme funded and run by the British Council with the aim of promoting international relations and sharing educational best practice. During their time, Miss Comer and Mrs Mitchell will both teach and observe lessons, sharing and bringing back lots of new ideas. This follows work by children over the past two years exchanging letters and projects with children from Camford.
