This week, in Year 6 History, we have been re-enacting the brutal murder of Thomas Beckett. In our lessons we have travelled to Canterbury Cathedral (the Talbot Room) to take up our roles as knights, monks, kings and, of course, the doomed archbishop. The dramatic death scenes have been hysterical yet serious.
We have enjoyed being part of the action and have used props and costumes, like real actors, to make the plays come to life (or death!) I hope the cleaners can get the blood off the floor before signing out!
