Round 1: Holmwood vs Felsted
Felix Orchard (12), Francis Hunt (23) and Nicholas Harrington (18) got the innings off to a good start. The Felsted bowlers gave 42 extras away as Samuel Holland (16) and Edward Ashton (23) stormed the Holmwood innings for 136-6.

A brilliant fielding performance by the team produced 5 run outs with Miles Crewe being the pick of the bowlers taking 3 for 8 from 2 overs.

Result: Won by 90 runs
Holmwood 136-6 (20 overs) Felsted 46 all out

Final: Holmwood vs King Edward VI Grammar School, Chelmsford (KEGS)
Francis Hunt (26) and Nicholas Harrington (34*) got off to a steady start and the KEGS bowling was very effective, restricting Holmwood to 89 from 20 overs. Nicholas Harrington batted through sensibly and held the innings together.

A brilliant bowling performance by Holmwood contained the opposition and Miles Crewe (3-18) and Nicholas Harrington (2-17) were the pick of the bowlers. An excellent spell by Benjamin Allison (1-9) and Samuel Holland (0-4) meant KEGS required 17 from the final over. Holmwood managed to strangulate the opposition and won by 6 runs.

Result: Won by 6 runs
Holmwood 89-8 (20 overs) KEGS 83-7

Captain Edward Ashton was presented with the cup and did a fantastic job on the day. Nicholas Harrington was named 'Man of the Tournament'. A fantastic experience, with all presentations being made by cricketing legend Nasser Hussain. The whole tournament was dedicated to Joe Hussain (Nasser's father) who passed away last year - a lovely tribute to him.

My father would have been thrilled to have this trophy named after him, his love and passion
of the game was especially felt for youth cricket, helping young aspiring cricketers
to progress to county level.
