On Tuesday, Henry D, Alexandra B-C and Matthew B competed in a Cross Country event which was held at Colchester Rugby Club, with a huge gathering of approximately 500 pupils from 17 North Essex Schools.
Henry D came 2nd in Year 7 boys; Alexandra B-C came 5th in Year 7 girls; Matthew B came 3rd in Years 8 & 9 boys.
All three have had the opportunity to represent Holmwood House and the Colchester District at the Essex Championships.
Emily B also recently took part in a Cross Country race representing CATS (Colchester and Tendring) and came 115th out of more then 160 U17s, despite being one of the youngest in the field.
Well done to all with their cross country successes!
On Saturday 12 November, Tom B and James B took part in a 6km Royal Marines Commando endurance race at Hever Castle. They both completed the race, which included 18 full-size commando obstacles such as high walls, climbing up ropes and walking through water-filled muddy ditches! At the finish they were awarded with their well-earned dog tags and a warm cup of Ribena! The boys enjoyed it but got very cold! They raised £240 for St Helena Hospice. What a fantastic
