Year 6 Rain Forest Competition
Autumn Term 2017
As part of their work on ‘Global Environments’ pupils in Year 6 have been taking part in a competition on Tropical Rainforests.
Their brief was to produce a piece of work which conveyed the beauty and importance of the World’s tropical rainforests whilst also considering the threats and possible solutions to the destruction of the rainforests.
The method of presentation was entirely up to the individual pupil - from Google Slideshows to a video documentary, the variety of entries has been staggering.
The quality was very high so selecting the best pieces was a difficult job. A big thank you to everyone that entered the competition.
In assembly this week, Mr Mitchell presented certificates and prizes to the following:
Joint Winners – Emily B and Imogen J
Runner-up – Gabriel S-F
Third place – Anna P
Highly Commended – Jesse D, Flora D, Georgina C, Sarah E, Isaac H, Dominique G, Tommy T, Angus M, Rafa K and Sam G.
