Year 6 Trip to ancient Roman settlement

Tuesday 2 March

Year 6 will be visiting a local vineyard on Tuesday 1 March.   The vineyard is situated on the suspected cremation site of an ancient Roman settlement, and a team of archaeologists are currently in situ.  This is an excellent opportunity to speak with the team about the classical civilisation, as well as learning about the geographical features of a vineyard and some scientific work, too.

The children will be leaving school at 9.15am and will return by 11.30am.  They will need to bring wellies, as the site is very muddy, and a warm waterproof coat.  There is no cost involved.
