The Great Outdoors
The outdoor facilities are exceptional. Each nursery room benefits from having a separate area that is used as an outdoor classroom. The garden is well equipped with a paddock and large open spaces. Holmwood House Nursery is extremely lucky to be situated on the edge of a private woodland. This enables us to use the wood with the children and gives them the opportunity to discover wildlife and nature through hands-on experience.
53 children aged between 6 months and five years are able to attend the nursery which opens for 47 weeks of the year. However, children are able to attend for Holmwood House term-times only if that is required. Flexible attendance is offered to suit individual needs.
The Nursery has an open admissions policy; all children are welcome to attend. We feed into Holmwood House Prep School and also into other primary schools in the local and surrounding areas.

Children's personal and emotional development is outstanding because they are happy and feel safe and secure. Excellent relationships between and with staff give children a sense of personal worth and the confidence to explore, investigate and be adventurous and creative.
Children thrive in this warm and caring environment.
